Wooden sugar molds are used to form solid molasses-colored sugar cones that are sold in markets throughout Mexico and Latin America. The sugar cane plant is pressed and the juice is processed through heating and poured into the wooden mold to cool. When cooled, the come shaped sugar us removed from the mold and shipped to market. This form of sugar is used to sweeten tea, atole (a traditional drink made from corn) to baked goods and candies. Our sugar molds are more versatile than ever. With a variety of inserts for candles, glass vases from flowers or dips, these are wonderful additions to any home.
